The education and culture offered by Yale is not exclusive to the students. Museum-crawl through the galleries and historic hubs of New Haven and feel the culture come to life. The halls of the New Haven Museum house the history of the City, and at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, New Haven locals and visitors share access to an architectural marvel and one of the world’s largest libraries devoted entirely to rare books. At The Yale Center for British Art and the Yale University Art Gallery, visitors can experience the largest collection of British art outside of the UK and a diverse collection of more than 200,000 works – at no cost.
