New Haven is home to independent grocers like Elm City Market and Nica’s Market, as well as popular farmers markets, namely CitySeed’s producer-only markets which take place across four locations in the city. These bustling farmers markets provide residents with fresh local produce, while also supporting economic opportunity across the city. In partnership with CitySeed, downtown New Haven works to remove barriers to food access, food entrepreneurship, and local farm viability.
